Expected Measures to be Delivered in 2013 Federal Budget Tomorrow

In regards to government funding programs, the following measures are expected to be announced tomorrow by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, as part of the 2013 federal budget:
  • Several hundred million dollars in annual funding for companies to train workers in skilled trades.
  • Extension of a $1 billion tax break for manufacturers to encourage them to purchase  new machinery and equipment.
  • Funding to help companies develop “innovative” products and sell their wares abroad.
