Happy Earth Day from NorthBridge Consultants

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year and is the largest environmental event in the world. Earth Day was established by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970. His idea for Earth Day arose from the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill that had devastating effects on the Southern California coastline. His focus was to educate the public about the environment and how small changes can make a great impact. Today, Earth Day has grown to involve over 5,000 environmental groups in more than 184 countries. Millions of Canadians participate in activities in their communities to support Earth Day.

Our team at NorthBridge decided to participate by turning off lights in our office and picking up garbage around the outside of our building. Today was a great success! Our team braved the cold and precipitation for an hour and were able to fill 18 garbage bags worth of garbage and really make a difference in our small environment. Way to go team!
