Canada Summer Jobs is a Government of Canada initiative that provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities to allow Canadian youth to transition into the labour market.
Public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees are eligible for up to 50% of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage. The maximum contribution will normally be for a value no greater than $300,000 per employer per province/territory.
Wages of Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees between the ages of 15 and 30, for a full-time job with a duration between 6-16 consecutive weeks.

Youth participants must be between ages 15-30 at the beginning of the employment period and be legally entitled to work in Canada. Additionally, their hiring cannot displace existing employees.
CSJ is a permanent program with a yearly application deadline in winter, for jobs which run through spring-summer.
