Eastern Ontario Development Program Renewed

The Minister of State, Gary Goodyear, announced that the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) will invest an additional $48 million to renew the Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP).  EODP was originally launched in 2004, and will re-launch in April 2014 for 5 years, and be delivered through 15 Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) as well as through the Eastern Ontario Community Futures Development Corporation Network Inc. (EOCFDC Network).

The CFDCs and EOCFDC Network will consider EODP proposals under 3 streams:

  1. Business Development- growth of new and existing businesses in eastern rural Ontario.
  2. Community Innovation- advance economic development to enhance and diversify local economies.
  3. Collaborative Economic Development- support collaborative economic development projects.
